"Kintsugi (or kintsukuroi) is a Japanese method for repairing broken ceramics with a special lacquer mixed with gold, silver, or platinum. The philosophy behind the technique is to recognize the history of the object and to visibly incorporate the repair into the new piece instead of disguising it. The process usually results in something more beautiful than the original."
Over the past few weeks we have been so inspired by everyone coming together to help those in need during this hard time with so many natural disasters.
This Leash means to much to us because it symbolizes the strength and perseverance that comes from pain and heartache. Not only empowering for the Hurricane survivors, but for ALL survivors. Depression, mental/physical illness, social alienation, racism, and of course an adopted dog coming from a dark past to a bright colorful future! We are here to grab the hand of ANYONE reaching for help!
Each Kintsugi Leash comes with our "floating ring" which is just that! A solidary welded O ring that simply floats along the Leash giving you the option to convert your Leash into a slip lead! We also fasten a Poo bag ring near the handle that holds one of our handmade multi colored neon pom-poms!! Each leash also comes with FOUR Neon Candy Twist whips and you have the option of what colors!
$5 from every sale for the first week will go to Jess from @rotndogrehab to help fix her fence that was destroyed during Hurricane Irma. Jess named our Kintsugi Leash! You can learn more about her story on our Instagram!
$5 from the remainder of our preorder will go to @susiesseniordogs on IG! Together we can make a difference!
This is currently a preorder! We will take a very limited amount of orders and the last day to order is October 10th! Once all orders are taken we will begin production. Leashes will then ship no later than Monday November 6th!! Confirmation emails will be sent on shipping day with tracking numbers. These will not last so grab your spot while you can!!
